England, Wales and Scotland statutory rules. Northern Ireland has different weekly caps — check NI guidance separately.

Estimate only — not legal advice. Employers may pay enhanced redundancy above the statutory minimum.

How this estimate works

For the UK (GB), the tool applies age-banded weeks of pay for each complete year of service (maximum 20 years), subject to the weekly pay cap and overall maximum in force on your redundancy date. Northern Ireland uses separate limits — treat “UK” mode as England, Wales and Scotland guidance.

For Ireland, statutory redundancy is generally (2 × years of reckonable service) + 1 weeks’ pay, with weekly pay capped at €600.

Before you rely on a figure

  • Confirm continuous service and whether your dismissal is a genuine redundancy.
  • Use gross weekly pay as your employer would for statutory calculations.
